Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the practices and operations of Asign regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information (as defined below) of customers – including individuals who request information about our products and services, online visitors or members of our websites, online resources, and mobile device applications. This Policy describes (i) the types of Personal Information collected, (ii) the purposes of the collection (iii) its disclosure and/or transfer (vi) the measures we take to protect the security of Personal Information and (v) your rights regarding Personal Information.
This Policy does not apply to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information by third parties, where Asign Inc. does not have any control over the collection of Personal Information or over their respective privacy practices.

Definitions
Personal Information:
Any information collected, used by or on behalf of Asign Inc. enabling it to directly or indirectly identify an individual. Personal Information may include but is not limited to the first name, last name, address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, and Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet.
What Personal Data Do We Receive?
Personal data is any information from or about an identified or identifiable person, including information that Asign can associate with an individual person. We may collect, or process, on behalf of our customers, the following categories of personal data when you use or interact with Asign services:
Account Information
Information associated with an account that uses our services, which may include:
- Administrator name
- Contact information
- Account ID
- Billing and transaction information
- Account plan information
Usage Information
Information associated with how people and their devices interact with Asign services, such as:
- When participants join and leave a meeting or an interpreting session
- Whether participants sent messages and who they message with
- Performance data
- Contact information.
This also includes information about when and how people visit and interact with the Asign websites, including what pages are accessed, interaction with website features, and whether the person inquired about an Asign service via the website.
Communications with Asign
Information about your communications with Asign, including communications relating to support questions, your account, and other inquiries.
How do we use Personal Data?
Communicate with You
We use personal data (including contact information) to communicate with you about Asign services, including product updates, your account, and changes to our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.
Authentication, Integrity, Security, and Safety
To authenticate accounts and activity, detect, investigate, and prevent malicious conduct, fraudulent activity or unsafe experiences, address security threats, protect public safety, and secure Asign services.
Email Subscriptions
Asign complies with Canada’s anti-spam legislation. We will not send you electronic communication that contravenes this law. Emails sent to our mailing list include an opt-out feature and an unsubscribe link if you no longer wish to receive emails from Asign.
Use of Cookies
We use “cookies” on the Asign website. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in using a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.
Legal Reasons
Personal data may be used to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement or government agencies, to investigate or participate in civil discovery, litigation, or other adversarial legal proceedings. The policy protects you, us, and others from fraudulent, malicious, deceptive, abusive, or unlawful activities, according to our Terms of Service or policies. Information Sharing We will not share (disclose or transfer) your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request.
Your Rights
You have the right to make a complaint to Asign’s Privacy Officer if you believe that Asign has not protected your personal information or personal health information. They will review your complaint and take any required actions.
